Position Summary
The Product Development Engineer is responsible to support current development projects, implementation of new products/processes and will be working closely with and reporting to the Head of Engineering.

Areas of Responsibility
- Product development using 3D CAD product Design software
- Establish and realize new product objectives
- Complete tolerance stack up analysis
- Design and execute DoE for process development and validation
- Define manufacturing techniques, equipment and process integration
- Complete design failure modes and effects analysis, and other product performance analysis
- Apply basic knowledge of materials, standards and testing possibilities
- Provide and maintain process definitions and work instructions
- Utilize a basic knowledge of good documentation practices (GDP)
- Comply with all company safety procedures
- Apply basic knowledge of injection molding
- Perform other related duties as assigned by Head of Engineering

Physical Requirements
- Sit at computer workstations 80% of time and stand/walk 20% of time
- Tolerate noise levels from office, production, and lab equipment
- Hear telephonic equipment and comfortably communicate by telephone and in person.
- See details at close range (within a few feet of the observer) as required for business software and operating office and production machines
- Lift up to 40 lbs.
- Bend, squat or crouch, crawl, kneel, stoop, stretch and stand while performing tasks to meet job requirements
Requirements
- Required
- Citizen of the United States
- Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Mechanical, Chemical or Manufacturing Eng
- Or- Minimum 5 years' experience supporting industrial processes
- Desired
- Experience with polymer processing, including extrusion
- Part and equipment design experience
- Pro E/Creo preferred
- Experience with Lean and Six-Sigma techniques
- Experience operating under ISO 9001:2018 Quality Management System
- Experience operating under ISO 13485:2016 Quality Management System
